Justin Timberlake has become one of the most notable pop singers of our time, and his new record, The 20/20 Experience, is no exception to JT’s signature awesomeness. Inside The 20/20 Experience takes fans behind the scenes of the creative process by rewarding users with new and exclusive content.
For six days surrounding the album release, fans could visit the site and dial the knobs on phoropter to bring an eye chart into focus. Each eye chart revealed a code and a prompt that allowed the fan to unlock special photos, videos, and audio around the album.
The project was a collaboration with our pals, The Uprising Creative. Uprising killed the content side, and E&E built out the actual site and mechanics. It was built on Node.js, and the front end was crafted using only jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
